Strategic Systems Planning
Strategy: A well-defined, coordinated set of large scale actions to move an organization towards success |
System: A set of inter-related parts that function together in a coordinated fashion to achieve a desired result |
Planning: The process of identifying and committing to carry out a specified set of actions to achieve success |
IKS's Strategic Systems Planning services guide you through a process of developing clarity and understanding of the major components of your organizational systems. In our view, the relevant parts of organizational systems include human beings; roles; communication; accountabilities; information; materials; actions; and technology. We incorporate all of these elements, at a high level, into our Strategic Systems Planning process.
Once we have developed a high level view of these key elements, we facilitate the identification and prioritization of key needs and opportunities. The large scale actions that will define your strategy are established, and accountabilities assigned for carrying them out. An ongoing monitoring process is put in place, to ensure that the plan itself stays up to date with changing business conditions, and to ensure that the actions for which people have accepted accountabilities are carried out.
All of this work is done in a highly interactive and integrated environment, so that the various actions defined in the Strategic Systems Plan can be monitored and coordinated.
